This is an important part of our Te Whatu Kairangi annual awards.

 

We're looking for nominations from anyone who has learned from or worked alongside an exceptional te reo Māori teacher, for the Te Whatu Kairangi | Te Tohu Reo Māori award.

Launch of the MCC March 2025

Ako Aotearoa, alongside Kaiwhakahaere | Programme Manager, Mātauranga Māori, Dr. Mei Winitana, is excited to introduce the newly developed Māori Cultural Coaching courses.

 

These self-directed, online courses are designed to help educators apply five key Māori values to enhance both teaching practice and workplace relationships. Participants will also have exclusive access to a Māori cultural coach for short one-on-one discussions and fortnightly drop-in sessions, providing ongoing support and guidance.
