AARIA funding round for research
projects is now open
Last week, we launched the 2024 AARIA Contestable Funding Round for tertiary education research projects. We're looking to support projects that align with a range of identified priorities in today's tertiary education sector.
Key dates:
– Registrations of interest: Tuesday
14 May 2024
– Full proposal submission: Friday
14 June 2024
The value of each contract will range from $10,000 to $50,000 over a duration of 5-12 months. Visit the AARIA webpage for more information and to download the guidelines, proposal form, and CV template.

TEO achieves two Ako Aotearoa accreditations for prioritising inclusive learning environments
Congratulations to Skills4Work for being the first tertiary education organisation to achieve the Dyslexia-Friendly Quality Mark (DFQM) and have their first cohort of staff achieve the Tapatoru Ako Professional Practice Award! We spoke to two representatives about their experience with these programmes and their efforts to promote inclusivity and support among all learners, apprentices, and staff. National Office team attends WILNZ conference
We were pleased to support and attend the annual Work-Integrated Learning New Zealand (WILNZ) conference at Victoria University in Wellington on 9-10 April.
A big thank you to WILNZ for putting on a thought-provoking two days filled with insightful presentations. We look forward to the 2025 WILNZ Conference, which will be hosted by the Eastern Institute of Technology in Hawke's Bay.
